Abstract

Electrodeposited black nickel coating plated from chloride baths on metallic substrates has high solar absorptance coefficient (> 0.92) and low thermal emittance (< 0.15). The black nickel selective coating was formed of two layers of different porosity with non- overlapping pores. This coating is very stable under thermal implication and humid conditions.© (1992) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society for Optical Engineering.
