Abstract

ABSTRACT A general review of the current holographic materials available from the Geola distribution network is presented. Recom-mended chemistries for both pulsed and CW-laser recorded Silver Halide holograms are reviewed. Colour control techniquesfor Silver Halide reflection holograms are discussed. Finally new recipees for developers and bleaches are presented. Keywords: Silver Halide holographic materials, CW holography, pulsed holography, Geola 1. INTRODUCTION The Geola network currently distributes both Silver Halide and Dichromate Gelatin emulsions for 3D imaging and holographyapplications. There are three types of the emulsions available: (i) The fine grain Silver Halide emulsions VRP-M and PFG-01; (ii) The ultra-fine grain Silver Halide emulsions PFG-03C and PFG-03M; and (iii) a Dichromated Gelatine emulsionPFG-04. All of the Silver Halide materials are available coated onto glass or TAC film substrate and cover a wide range ofsizes. Table 1 summarizes materials presently available from Geola. NAME DESCRIPTION
