Abstract

Technology has developed at a rapid speed in the few decades. The general idea is to ease livelihood and walk towards a smarter world. Wireless technologies are at its peak since it emerged. It has been an uphill task to where this generation has developed. In this paper, authors attempted to create HetNets (Heterogeneous Networks) between Dedicated Short Range Communication (DSRC) and Long Term Evolution (LTE) into the vehicular communication technology. In our architecture we propose the use of LTE eNodeB infrastructure and we find the possibility to establish communication between LTE eNodeB and DSRC On Board Units (OBUs). We proposed no changes to the already available standards but we modify some of the configurable parameters in the PHY layers. We concentrate on the Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) which is common for both LTE and DSRC. This paper is validated by sending a file containing sensitive information between vehicles.
