Introduction

This paper is a short report based on material collected in the scope of hydrobiological research in Western Carpathians: C. heros was recorded in west Slovakia, approximately 90 km E-NE of Bratislava (20.04.2017, 1 larva). The newest data confirms the need of research and proves that the extent of occurrence of C. heros on the northern border of its range is much greater. Bernard & Daraż (2015) discovered five sites in the Chernivtsi Oblast in west Ukraine. A number of sites were discovered in Slovakia (review in David & Šacha 2019).
