<p><strong>Taxonomic revision of the infraorder Proctotrupomorpha (Hymenoptera)</strong></p>

Abstract

The authors revise the taxonomy of infraorder Proctotrupomorpha. Although this revision is not meant as being complete, it is based on the most important structures of the infraorder. A new taxon in Proctotrupomorpha is being erected, Microprocta, taxon nov., as a new informal group (clade), comprising the superfamilies Chalcidoidea, Platygastroidea, Diaprioidea, Serphitoidea, and Mymarommatoidea, and families Jurapriidae, Trupochalcididae, and Chalscelionidae, fam. nov., based on five synapomorphic characters of their wing venation.
