Abstract

Two new species, Eryngiopus rezaiyeiensis sp. nov. and Parastigmaeus urmiaensis sp. nov. of the family Stigmaeidae (Acari: Trombidiformes), are described and illustrated based on female and deutonymph specimens collected from Northwest Iran. A modified and updated table of diagnostic characters of the species of Eryngiopus, is also provided.
