Abstract
The purpose of the article is to introduce the editorial policy, mission and plans of the new journal, established by the State Public Scientific and Technological Library of the Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences (SPSTL SB RAS) in 2023. The Book. Reading. Media is called to become a platform for representatives of various scientific disciplines who study books, readers and media in the past and present. The article contains the opinions of the members of the editorial board, leading Russian and foreign experts in the field of book studies, library science, reader studies, media studies, cultural studies, etc. All of them are confident in the relevance of the new journal’s subject and express their hopes for its successful development and relevance among professionals.
