Abstract

Abundance and seasonality of the Bittacidae were studied in two conservation areas in Minas Gerais. Weekly collections were carried out using Malaise traps, one installed in a wood in Ecological Station of the “Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais” (EE-UFMG) and two in the savanna and in a wood in the Ambiental Station Peti (EA-Peti). A total of 35 individuals of single specie, Bittacus pintoi Lopes & Mangabeira, 1942 were captured only in the rainy season (October to January)
