Abstract

This paper researches a kind of anti-surge control strategy for centrifugal compressor. In order to solve the problem of narrow operating range of the traditional anti-surge control, model predictive control is introduced. First ratio and mass flow nonlinear predictive models of compressor's pressure are developed by LS-SVM (Least Square Support Vector Machine). Then the anti-surge predictive controller is designed according to anti-surge conditions. Finally, simulation results prove that the predictive control is a suitable method for anti-surge control of centrifugal compressor. It shows that the surge line and the surge control line can be effectively cut down and the operation scope of centrifugal compressor can be largely widened.
