Abstract

In this study, the localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) effects of Au nanoparticles (AuNPs) modified on glass substrate were used for glucose sensing. AuNPs were fabricated by using photochemical method, then the AuNPs film was prepared by using self-assembly method. Finally, AuNPs film was used to detect the different concentrations of glucose solutions. The result shows obvious peaks of absorbance accompanied by a red shift in the wavelength for each concentration of glucose solutions that the, where AuNPs with a size of 20 nm showed a better sensitivity (8.1 nm/mM) and a great linearity (R2 = 0.985) for glucose sensing. The LSPR sensor showed great sensitivity along with its advantages of simple, low-cost and real-time detection.
