Abstract

An eigenproblem-based technique is given for computing the stabilizing scalar static output feedback gain that minimizes the standard linear quadratic performance index in the presence of a Gaussian white-noise disturbance. The method adapts recent work on eigenproblem-based computation of H ∞-norms.
