Abstract

In this paper, Li2Mg3Ti0.95(Mg1/3Nb2/3)0.05O6 (LMTN) ceramics doped with different H3BO3 additives were prepared via the traditional solid state method. Microwave dielectric properties of LMTN ceramics as a function of the different content of H3BO3 were discussed. All the sintered samples exhibited the single phase with rock salt structures. The dielectric constant (εr) of the LMTN ceramics increased from 13.34 to 13.93 with the H3BO3 content increasing. The quality factors (Q·f) of the LMTN ceramics significantly increased to a maximum value with increasing the amount of H3BO3 addition. The temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τƒ) could be slightly affected by additives. In particular, optimized dielectric properties with εr of 13.76, Q·f of 129,800 GHz and τf of − 23.48 ppm/°C were obtained by 4 wt% H3BO3 doped LMTN ceramics after sintering at 1000 °C.
