Abstract

The effects of Li2O–B2O3–SiO2 (LBS) and BaO–ZnO–B2O3 (BZB) glasses on the sintering behavior, phase development, microstructure and microwave dielectric properties of the BaO–Nd2O3–TiO2 (BNT) ceramics have been investigated. The results indicate that the co-doped glasses of LBS and BZB effectively lower the sintering temperature of BNT to 900 °C while maintaining good microwave properties. The BNT ceramic doped with 3 wt% LBS and 3 wt% BZB glasses sintered at 900 °C shows excellent properties: er = 69.78, Q × f = 4416 GHz, τf = 46.05 ppm/°C.
