Abstract

In this paper, a low-power consumption level-shifter using the clamping circuit technique and LTPS (low temperature poly silicon) technology for TFT LCD (thin film transistor-liquid crystal display) is proposed. The new proposed level-shifter can convert from the input amplitude of 0/spl sim/+3 V to the output amplitude of 0/spl sim/+10 V by using only one input signal. The power consumption of the proposed level-shifter can be reduced to about 1/2 that of the conventional one under conditions of +10 V power supply voltage, 1 pF load capacitor and 2 MHz operating frequency. For an application, the proposed level-shifter can be adopted to the high-voltage generator.
