Abstract
AbstractThis paper investigates theoretically and experimentally a rectangular metallic patch array as a low‐pass quasi‐optical diplexer. By complementary principle and experiment, it is demonstrated that the brick arrangement of rectangles is also available for broadbanding. In a previous paper the author proposed such an arrangement for high‐pass quasi‐optical filters by rectangular mesh. Also, the method of analysis for the dielectric multilayered patch array is presented, and the design method for the diplexer based on the analysis is described. The validity of the analysis and the design method are confirmed by experiment.
