Abstract
The stratigraphical and sedimentological studies on the Guinean Paleozoic Bové Basin allow us to define the sedimentary environments that prevail from the Cambro-Ordovician to the late Devonian on this northwestern margin of Gondwana. The Cambro-Ordovician continental depositional period is followed by a marine transgression from Early Silurian to Lower Devonian. The highest point of this transgression is reached during the Upper Emsian time. Marine conditions persist till Famennian and then disappears from this Paleozoic Basin. Comparisons between transgression and regression curves of Bové Basin, Zemmour and Anti-Atlas show some differences in the evolution of these areas, specially during Cambro-Ordovician period.
