Abstract

Common scanner control adjustments:Don't make the colour box too large or the image frame rate may be too low.Optimize the colour pulse repetition frequency so that the peak systolic velocity is in the upper region of the colour scale. Stenoses will be rapidly identified as areas of aliasing.Ensure the colour wall filter is set correctly.Align the spectral Doppler angle correction cursor accurately.
