Abstract
Abstract Amphiphilic small molecules comprising aromatic units and amphiphilic oligo(ethylene glycol) side chains were synthesized. These compounds exhibit lower critical solution temperatures (LCST) in aqueous solutions. Control of the LCST has been achieved by changing the solute concentration and adding salts or organic solvents.
