Abstract
We consider the samples drawn with replacement from finite numerical populations. For the model, we establish optimal positive lower bounds on the expectations of the differences of consecutive order statistics in units generated by the population central absolute moments of various orders. Analogous bounds for the without-replacement model amount to zero.
