Abstract

Low-energy electron diffraction is the most natural tool for surface crystallography. The surface unit mesh is readily and unambiguously determined. Analysis of diffracted intensities is required to determine atomic coordinates within the unit mesh. This can be done either by dynamic-theory calculations or data-reduction methods.
