Abstract
Using matched employer-employee data from the Fair Work Commission’s Australian Workplace Relations Study (AWRS), this paper describes selected attributes of the firms that employ low-paid workers in Australia. The results suggest that these firms generally offer fewer skill development opportunities and fewer flexible work arrangements than firms that do not employ low-paid workers.
