Abstract
Time differences between arrivals of P and PL waves on 55 seismograms from 13 events were measured and compared with model study values. Variations are mapped as a point midway between station and event for each measurement. The results are presented as a contour map of large-scale lateral variations in the upper mantle beneath the western United States.
