Abstract

The Li2ZnTi3O8 ceramics with MgO–B2O3–SiO2 (MBS) addictive have been prepared by the conventional solid-state ceramic route. The effects of MBS glass on the sintering temperature, microstructure and microwave dielectric properties of Li2ZnTi3O8 ceramics were investigated. The X-ray diffraction results showed that Li2ZnTi3O8 doped with MBS glass was a single-phase without forming secondary phase. It was found that the addition of MBS to the Li2ZnTi3O8 ceramics effectively lowered the sintering temperature from 1075°C to 900°C while maintaining good microwave dielectric properties. Especially, when the glass content was 2.0wt%, the ceramics sintered at 900°C for 4h exhibited excellent microwave dielectric properties: εr=25.0, Q׃=56,200GHz, τƒ=−9.9ppm/°C.
