Abstract
Indirect spin interaction between localized holes and destroying of long-range magnetic order in doped La 2CuO 4 are considered. Essential role of elastic deformations due to impurity ions in the formation of magnetic state is suggested and connection between magnetic and structural transitions is indicated.
