Abstract
The heat capacity Cp(T) of U6FeH15 hydride was meausured in the temperature range 4.5–255 K. The complex anomaly with two critical temperatuers was observed, which arises from the magnetic phase transitions. The low-temperature maximum reveals thermal hysteresis. The higher temperature anomaly is close to the Tc observed for β-UH3. The change in entropy of the transitions was estimated to be 5.43 J mol−1 K−1. An electronic specific heat coefficient γ∗ = 33.8 mJ mol−1 K−2 was derived.
