Abstract

Dynamic magnetic properties response of La0.5-xHoxCa0.5MnO3 (0 = x ≤ 0.15) nanosized samples have been investigated. Temperature dependence of AC magnetic susceptibility measurements shows a broad maximum at freezing temperature Tf, suggesting the presence of spin or cluster glass behavior. For the substituted samples, a second peak can be detected below Tf and is more pronounced for x = 0.15, which indicates the appearance of cluster glass behavior. The analysis of the frequency dependent peak obeys to the Vogel-Fulcher and power law, which rules out the superparamagnetic state. An unusual decrease of Tf was observed for Ho-substituted samples with increasing frequency.
