Abstract

1. The adsorption capacity with respect to hydrogen of synthetic faujasites, mordenites, and types A, E, and I zeolites was investigated at the temperature of liquid nitrogen and low pressures. 2. CaE zeolite is an effective absorber of hydrogen, not inferior to palladium-coated silica gel. 3. The electrostatic interaction of H2 molecules with zeolite cations, due chiefly to polarization forces, makes a significant contribution to the total energy of adsorption.
