Abstract
Power inversion (PI) arrays have been employed to suppress interference in various communication systems. When the noise power level is relatively low, both the expected signal and interference will be suppressed and cause significant degradation in the signal to noise ratio (SNR). This paper proposes two ways to enhance SNR without the need of user signal direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation, which is attractable for strong interference communication environments. The simulation results show the proposed designs are effective and hardware implementable for strong interference direct sequence spread systems (DSSS).
