Abstract

Operational transconductance amplifier are the most frequently used analog block in analog front end of wearable, portable and implantable biomedical devices. A low power OTA with low transconductance is designed based on series parallel current mirror and current cancellation technique with bulk driven input differential pair. The designed OTA is simulated using Cadence virtuoso tool in gpdk 180 nm CMOS process. It has DC gain of 44.5 dB and UGBW of 22 kHz with 0.4 V power supply consuming 40.86 nW of power. Also, a Gm-C low pass filter is designed using the proposed OTA and is suitable for low frequency applications as it has cut-off frequency in the range 32 Hz - 263 Hz.
