Abstract

Nowadays, the power consumption of wireless temperature and humidity monitoring node has become a major problem, for it is powered by battery. Therefore, this paper focuses on the 32bit low power consuming microcontroller MCF51QE128, working with the low power-consuming temperature and humidity sensor SHT11 and the low power-consuming wireless mode nRF905. For software, the system is designed with the level method, for it is efficient on structural and hardware independence. The methods of interrupt calls, macro mode and hibernation mechanism are adopted to reduce power consumption. Hence, the wireless temperature and humidity monitoring node is low power-consuming and low cost.
