Abstract

Objectives: The PEACH trial, which was a multicenter and randomized trial to evaluate the effects of lipid therapy on the progression of coronary calcium score (CCS), demonstrated that annual progression rate of Agatston score was 40% in whole patients irrespective of a significant reduction of LDL-C. The number of circulating CD34 positive cell was reported to be associated with cardiovascular risks. We examined the association the baseline number of CD34 positive cell and annual progression of CCS.
