Abstract

Spectra of 37.2 and 60.6 MeV electrons scattered at 180\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} constitute evidence for very low observable $M1$ transition strength and significant $M2$ transition strength in the 9 MeV excitation energy region of $^{90}\mathrm{Zr}$. This is consistent with recent high resolution results of other workers at more forward angles.NUCLEAR REACTIONS $^{90}\mathrm{Zr}(e, {e}^{\ensuremath{'}})$, ${E}_{0}=37.2, 60.6$ 60.6 MeV; measured $\frac{d\ensuremath{\sigma}}{d\ensuremath{\Omega}}$ at $\ensuremath{\theta}=180\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}$.
