Abstract
Sputtered FeCoNi(Cu)/Cu giant magnetoresistance multilayers on glass show growth-induced uniaxial in-plane magnetic anisotropy. We controlled the anisotropy and made multilayers with various anisotropy and antiferromagnetic coupling fields. A multilayer with a low spin flop field of 9 Oe can be obtained with a resistance change of 5% for a 10 Oe external field.
