Abstract

Central atypical cartilaginous tumor (ACT)/chondrosarcoma, grade 1 (CS1) is a locally aggressive chondrogenic tumor, as the 5th WHO Classification of Tumors (2020) listed. These lesions, that need for a resection as management, can resemble to enchondroma that is a fully benign lesion. This last is simply followed on the imaging to avoid the risk of possible complications. We will review the clinical and imaging features that allow to the radiologist to make a differential diagnosis among these lesions in order to choose for each lesion the most appropriate diagnostic/therapeutical management.
