Abstract

The frequency dependence of T 1 in glycerol, at frequencies below 6 MHz, indicates that the major contribution to the frequency dependent relaxation is due to the intermolecular interaction. The self diffusion constant is determined to be (1.9 ± 0.1) × 10 −8 cm 2/sec at 22.9°C.
