Abstract

The dynamic magnetic susceptibility of single crystal CsDy(MoO4)2 is studied in the frequency region of 4-2 · 107 Hz at 0.5-300 K. Using spin-lattice relaxation data, the energies of lower excited Dy3+ levels are found in the region of the structural phase transition (Tc = 38 K), which is responsible for the transition in the low symmetry phases. At temperatures above the magnetic phase transition point, (Tm= 1.3 K), some absorption strongly dependent on frequency (up to 4 Hz) is observed. Possible mechanisms of this phenomenon are discussed.
