Abstract

Equations are obtained for electromagnetic, hydrodynamic and elasticity dynamics of dielectric systems with two-dimensional (2D) conducting layers in an external magnetic field. The rotation of the polarisation plane of transverse elastic and electromagnetic waves is found, as well as their mutual transformation on the 2D conducting layer. The influence of the Hall conductivity of the 2D layer on characteristics of surface elastic and electromagnetic waves propagating near the thin layer is studied.
