Abstract

Low-fired (1-x)Li2Mg3ZrO6-xCaTiO3-4wt%LiF composite ceramics were fabricated by conventional solid-state reaction route. Specimens exhibited a multiphase system with Li2Mg3ZrO6, CaZrO3 and ZrO2 phase and well-dense microstructures at 900 °C. Excellent microwave dielectric properties of εr = 15.4, Q × f = 42400 GHz, τf = −5.6 ppm/°C was obtained for 0.8Li2Mg3ZrO6-0.2CaTiO3-4wt%LiF ceramics. Such samples were compatible with Ag electrodes, which suggests suitability of the developed material for LTCC applications.
