Abstract

We report dc magnetization measurements on (FexNi1−x)75P16B6Al3 alloys, prepared both with ordinary B and pure B11, for x=0.25 and 0.30. For each alloy we identify two temperatures where ferromagnetism collapses. The transition temperatures are strongly influenced by the B isotope. The samples exhibit permanent moments at 4 K, even when cooled in zero field from 77 K, provided that they have been exposed to a finite field at 77 K.
