Abstract
A new resonance-enhanced 155–167 cm −1 Raman band has been found in TCNE/EDA complexes in solution. This band behaves similarly to the ν CC and ν CN bands in complexed TCNE. It is assigned to the totally symmetric ν s vibration of uncomplexed TCNE, necessitating a reinterpretation of previously published data on TCNE.
