Low-energy heavy ions of cosmic rays measured on cosmos-2044 biosatellite

Abstract

The energy spectra of low energy cosmic ray heavy ions were measured by means of solid state nuclear track detectors (SSNTDs) on Cosmos-2044 Biosatellite. CN-85 detector stack was placed in an open container on the outside surface of the satellite. Heavy ions of 6≤7≤8 and 10<E, Mev/n<20 were measured. The analyses of the spectra and comparison it with the known data were performed. It was shown that registered fluences has a solar origin.
