Abstract

The complex Kohn variational method is used to study low-energy electron collision processes involving ${\mathrm{CH}}_{3}\mathrm{Cl}.$ The elastic differential and momentum transfer cross sections are studied from low electron energy (0.5 eV) through the resonance region (3.5 eV) to 10 eV. The effects of target correlation and polarization are studied. A comparison is made between the results of this study and experimental results available for this system.
