Abstract

Low elevation measurement of meter wave radar is a difficult issue in array signal processing. Dual carrier frequency processing method can be adopted for high mountain terrain in the field of low elevation measurement of meter wave radar. The algorithm works very well. Therefore, the algorithm is introduced into meter wave multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar, and the algorithm is improved to reduce the computational complexity. This letter mainly has two contributions. One is to transplant dual carrier frequency method from conventional array to MIMO array radar; another one is to improve the original dual carrier frequency method, which has a half of calculation amount compared with the original method. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the algorithm.
