Abstract
The structure of the violet bronze TlMo 6O 17 was determined in the space group P 3 m1. The parameter of the trigonal unit cell are a = 5.557 (3) A ̊ , c = 14.030 (4) A ̊ , c = 14.030 (4) A ̊ , Z = 1. The physical properties, similar to those of the potassium analogue, give evidence of Peierls transition at 120 K.
