Abstract
A low-complexity method for symbol detection in multiple-input multiple-output communication systems with spatial modulation is proposed. The proposed method finds a solution by performing beam search, where the beam search algorithm is modified to apply an additional branch-and-bound technique in order to reduce the search space. Simulation results show that the proposed method achieves a near-optimal bit error rate, and its complexity is much lower than that of previous methods.
