Abstract

A new low complexity post-IFFT peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) reduction technique using dynamically selected time-domain amplitude randomising sequences to minimise the PAPR per OFDM block is presented. It is shown that PAPR reductions within less than 0.5 dB of the ordinary selected mapping (SLM) can be achieved with the proposed technique, which has a complexity requirement that is orders of magnitude less than that of the SLM.
