Abstract

The results of the development of low-cement refractory concrete (LCC) based on a filler made of kaolin chamotte with a maximum application temperature of 1500 o C are presented. It is shown that in order to obtain high rates of workability, narrow fractions of filler with reduced water demand should be used. A comparative analysis of the effectiveness of superplasticizer additives has been carried out, their effect on the properties of kaolin chamotte-based LCC has been evaluated. It is established that the use of kaolin chamotte provides high strength of refractory concrete (more than 50 MPa after drying and first heating to operating temperatures).
