Abstract
This article discusses about the climate change that is continuing to grab the media headlines it is vital that electric utility companies have a low-carbon strategy. There is very little argument that fossil fuels used in power generation contribute substantially to global carbon dioxide emissions. This impact is compounded by rapidly growing global demand for electricity in the face of economic development in emerging countries.
