Abstract

The use of information obtained from remote sensing products is widely accepted and applied in archaeological studies and is often synonymous with aerophotogrammetry and photointerpretation. As a new tool to obtain aerophotogrammetric data, we have the Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), that are being used in several types of current work. In this work, we applied the knowledge and techniques of aerophotogrammetry associated with the use of UAVs in the mapping of morphological features in a small portion of the Cabo's granite showing, mainly, the areas with the structures of Castelo do Mar Fort and Quartel Velho, both buildings dating from 17th century, which are part of the Armando de Holanda Cavalcanti Metropolitan Park in the city of Cabo de Santo Agostinho, Pernambuco.
