Abstract

The words used in dialogue, published work, and even nursing theory reflect and cocreate meaning. In this column, nurse theorist, Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, and editor Dr. Rosemarie Rizzo Parse reflects on her love of words and writing and how that influenced her work and penchant for precision and clarity. She shares how the meaning of words changed in her humanbecoming worldview and her thoughts on societies' current use of some words and their methods of dialoguing.
